De Scheldeland regio
Het living lab
Scheldeland is een toeristische regio – dus geen administratieve regio – die een corridor vormt tussen vier belangrijke kunststeden: Brussel, Gent, Mechelen en Antwerpen. De regio volgt de bekkens van de Schelde, de Dender en de Rupel en biedt een toeristisch-recreatief product dat voornamelijk gericht is op vrijetijdsbesteding zoals fietsen, wandelen of varen langs de waterwegen. De regio combineert stedelijke en randstedelijke gemeenten met meer landelijke gebieden en biedt als zodanig een verscheidenheid aan culturele en recreatieve ervaringen.
